Youth Summer Camp | Instructors
There are three lesson programs at Rustic Trail Stable: Private Lessons; Recreational Rider Program; and Sport Rider!
1. Private Lessons are available for all riders on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Pay only for the lessons that you take. You will need to schedule your lesson in advance. Cost is $45/45 minutes lesson with Julie Catone or visiting instructor. $35/45-minutes with an associate instructor. (Discount for horse owners)
2. Recreational Rider Programs
Trail Club is for the very young beginner rider age 5 - 7. The Trail Club lessons are 30 minutes/rider. These lessons introduce the very young rider to horses from the safety of the lunge line and lead line. There are two experienced teen instructors for EACH rider. Cost is $125/month for a weekly lesson.
Saddle Club is for beginner riders age 8 - adult to receive 45 minutes of one-on-one instruction while being introduced to the art/sport/enjoyment of horses. Saddle Club is available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Cost is $125/month for a weekly lesson. On the 4th meeting each month, Saddle Clubbers participate in a group lesson. Saddle Club instructors are adult or teen riders with extensive instruction, riding ability, and mentoring experiences in all aspects of the equine industry. Riders that attend more than one Saddle Club lesson/week receive a 10% discount.
Rider Club is a small group lesson of 4 riders age 9 -adult ready for more riding challenges; however, still receive supervision. The Rider Club lessons are 2 hours long and available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Rider clubbers also complete chores at the barn and become more involved in the care of the horses/stable. Cost is $125/month for a weekly lesson (10% discount for attending more than one lesson/wk).
3. Sport Rider Programs
Sport Horse Club for riders age 11 - adult that are proficient collecting, grooming, and tacking their own horse with no supervision. Riders in the Sport Horse Club receive one group lesson each week with 4 riders/group; one private lesson each month; and two practice rides each month. Riders receive instruction on equitation, jumping and dressage. Cost is $225/month (discount for horse owners).
Eventing Club for riders age 12 - adult. Event Clubbers receive one group lesson each week with 4 riders/group; two private lessons each month; practice ride each week; and conditioning two rides/month. Riders receive instruction on eventing, equitation, jumping, dressage, and cross country. Cost is $300/month (discount for horse owners).
